Certification of EAHP specialists

Eastern European Association of Hypnotherapists offers both attestation of specialists and individual products in the field of hypnosis and clinical psychology.

To get the EAHP certificate means to pass an expert evaluation from the best specialists in your professional field, this proves that your services satisfy the highest requirements of practice.

As a result of the certification you get a number certificate, your data is entered into a single public database, the information on you is placed on the EAHP website, you get access to the advertising tools of the EAHP.

The certification is carried out in the following specialties at the moment:

  1. ­1. Hypnologist is a specialist who is professionally engaged in the study of hypnosis and its phenomena. The hypnologist must have deep knowledge of the altered states of consciousness, be aware of the latest research, be up to speed on research methodology, and in case of execution of independent research have the material and technical basis for this. The hypnologist doesn’t have to be in possession of techniques of guiding hypnosis, invoking hypnotic phenomena and mental effects.

2. Hypnotist is a specialist who can induce altered state of consciousness with the help of psychological influence without losing control over the state of the object of influence and without infliction of harm to health. He can cause and control hypnotic phenomena. If the hypnotist is professionally engaged in this practice, during the certification he must prove that the practice itself and its goals doesn’t exclusive of legislation of the country of realization practice and international norms, in which case the specialist has the necessary skills, knowledge, material and technical base.

3. Practicing hypnotherapist is a specialist professionally engaged in the correction of violations of people's mental adaptation, consciously using for this technique and methods of hypnosis and its phenomena, without violating the legislation of the country of realization practice and international norms, in which case the specialist has the necessary skills, knowledge, material and technical base.

4. Stage hypnotist is a specialist professionally engaged in entertainment, show, art, consciously using for this technique and methods of hypnosis and its phenomena, without violating the legislation of the country of realization practice and international norms, in which case the specialist has the necessary skills, knowledge, material and technical base.

5. Clinical psychologist is a specialist professionally investigative mental process under the clinic conditions and methods of their correction, without violating the legislation of the country of realization practice and international norms, in which case the specialist has the necessary skills, knowledge, material and technical base.

6. The EAHP coach is a specialist capable of transferring knowledge and skills on a high professional level to other people that serve turns of the EAHP. The EAHP coach has the right to issue his own certificates on passing his courses using the name of the Association, the number of his certificate, the association's logo, and the association's seal in the established order. Such certificates aren’t entered in unified register of association certificates and don’t repeat the design of association certificates.

7. The EAHP training is an educational program, acceptable to the EAHP. Certificates of such programs are printed on a single approved model, have signature of the President or the Secretary General of the EAHP, or signature of the Secretary of the regional representative and certified coach; there are all attributes of the Association, including its seal, number of the coach's certificate and individually certificate number on them. All the certificate data is entered into a single database.

Hypnologist

1. The aspirant submits an application and an autobiography to Secretary of regional office, (or in the absence of representation in the given region of the General Secretary of the EAHP).

2. The secretary submits a petition for aspirant's certification to President of the EAHP

3. Aspirant makes a fixed registration fee

4. President appoints the Certification Commission, consisting of at least three experts, and includes an intercessor, a practicing psychiatrist and a specialist in the field of hypnosis.

5. At the meeting of the Certification Commission, documents submitted by aspirant are examined, intercessor’s arguments are listened to, and the interview is conducted with aspirant. If necessary, the commission may request additional materials concerning the activities and competencies of aspirant. After consideration of all materials there is made a decision on the aspirant's compliance with standards of the association and possibility of certification. Sessions of a commission can proceed through the use of modern technical means of remote communication.

6. In case of a positive determination of certification commission, there is made a certificate of established sample, it’s sent to a specialist and specialist is included in the single register of the organization. At request of a specialist, due to long lead time and delivery, a temporary certificate can be issued for the period until 1 month.

Hypnotist

1. The aspirant submits an application and an autobiography to Secretary of regional office, (or in the absence of representation in the given region of the General Secretary of the EAHP).

2. The secretary submits a petition for aspirant's certification to President of the EAHP

3. Aspirant makes a fixed registration fee

4.  The aspirant is provided with necessary materials for the preparation for certification (methodological development, a complete list of questions, etc.)

5. President appoints the Certification Commission, consisting of at least three experts, and includes an intercessor, a practicing psychiatrist and a specialist in the field of hypnosis.

6. At the meeting of the Certification Commission, documents submitted by aspirant are examined, intercessor’s arguments are listened to, and the interview is conducted with aspirant. The aspirant passes exam on the basics of psychiatry and medical psychology in established order. He demonstrates skills of hypnotization, invocation and control of hypnotic phenomena. If necessary, the commission may request additional materials concerning the activities and competencies of aspirant, including video recording sessions. After consideration of all materials there is made a decision on the aspirant's compliance with standards of the association and possibility of certification. Sessions of a commission can proceed through the use of modern technical means of remote communication.

7. In case of a positive determination of certification commission, there is made a certificate of established sample, it’s sent to a specialist and specialist is included in the single register of organization. At request of a specialist, due to long lead time and delivery, a temporary certificate can be issued for the period until 1 month.

Practicing hypnotherapist

  1. The aspirant submits an application and an autobiography to Secretary of regional office, (or in the absence of representation in the given region of the General Secretary of the EAHP), as well as documents confirming the possibility of sending hypnotherapeutic practice – a photocopy of work record book certified by personnel department with a position presupposing hypnotherapy, or, if the aspirant is engaged in private medical practice, a valid license for medical practice. In the case of impossibility of submission such a document, the secretary is obliged to conduct an expert evaluation of aspirant's workplace and practice, for which an established remuneration may be required.

  4. The aspirant is provided with necessary materials for the preparation for certification (methodological development, a complete list of questions, etc.)
  5. President appoints the Certification Commission, consisting of at least three experts, and includes an intercessor, a practicing psychiatrist and hypnotherapist.
  6. At the meeting of the Certification Commission, documents submitted by aspirant are examined, intercessor’s arguments are listened to, and the interview is conducted with aspirant. The aspirant passes exam on the basics of psychiatry and medical psychology in established order. He demonstrates skills of hypnotization, invocation and control of hypnotic phenomena. If necessary, the commission may request additional materials concerning the activities and competencies of aspirant, including video recording sessions. After consideration of all materials there is made a decision on aspirant's compliance with standards of the association and possibility of certification. Sessions of a commission can proceed through the use of modern technical means of remote communication.

Stage hypnotist

1. The aspirant submits an application and an autobiography to Secretary of regional office, (or in the absence of representation in the given region of the General Secretary of the EAHP).

2. The secretary submits a petition for aspirant's certification to President of the EAHP

3. Aspirant makes a fixed registration fee.

4. The aspirant is provided with necessary materials for the preparation for certification (methodological development, a complete list of questions, etc.)

5. President appoints the Certification Commission, consisting of at least three experts, and includes an intercessor, a practicing psychiatrist and a practicing stage hypnotist.

6. At the meeting of the Certification Commission, documents submitted by aspirant are examined, intercessor’s arguments are listened to, and the interview is conducted with aspirant. The aspirant demonstrates knowledge of organization of presentation of variety hypnosis in various conditions. He demonstrates skills of hypnotization, invocation and control of hypnotic phenomena, invocation of ideomotor phenomena. If necessary, the commission may request additional materials concerning the activities and competencies of aspirant, including video recording sessions.  Perhaps, for final decision, the presence of one or more members of commission on aspirant’s show. After consideration of all materials there is made a decision on the aspirant's compliance with standards of the association and possibility of certification. Sessions of a commission can proceed through the use of modern technical means of remote communication.

7. In case of a positive determination of certification commission, there is made a certificate of established sample, it’s sent to a specialist and specialist is included in the single register of organization. At request of a specialist, due to long lead time and delivery, a temporary certificate can be issued for the period until 1 month.

Clinical psychologist

1. The aspirant submits an application, an autobiography, a copy of state-recognized degree on existence of a core education level not lower than a bachelor, as well as documents confirming the possibility of dealing with clinical psychology – a photocopy of work record book certified by personnel department with a position presupposing hypnotherapy, or, if the aspirant is engaged in private medical practice, a valid license for medical practice to Secretary of regional office, (or in the absence of representation in the given region of the General Secretary of the EAHP). In the case of impossibility of submission such a document, the secretary is obliged to conduct an expert evaluation of aspirant's workplace and practice, for which an established remuneration may be required.

2. The secretary submits a petition for aspirant's certification to President of the EAHP

3. Aspirant makes a fixed registration fee.

4. The aspirant is provided with necessary materials for the preparation for certification (methodological development, a complete list of questions, etc.)

5. President appoints the Certification Commission, consisting of at least three experts, and includes an intercessor, a practicing psychiatrist and a practicing clinical psychologist.

6. At the meeting of the Certification Commission, documents submitted by aspirant are examined, intercessor’s arguments are listened to, and the interview is conducted with aspirant. The aspirant passes exam on the basics of psychiatry and medical psychology in established order. The aspirant demonstrates skills of monitoring the patient, conducting a survey, removing anamnesis, conducting a clinical and psychopathological study, the ability to draw conclusions based on the results of a clinical and psychopathological study. He demonstrates knowledge of methods of psychocorrection and skills of psychological counseling. If necessary, the commission may request additional materials concerning the activities and competencies of aspirant, including video recording sessions, materials of psychopathological research (under the conditions of patient confidentiality). After consideration of all materials there is made a decision on the aspirant's compliance with standards of the association and possibility of certification. Sessions of a commission can proceed through the use of modern technical means of remote communication.

7. In case of a positive determination of certification commission, there is made a certificate of established sample, it’s sent to a specialist and specialist is included in the single register of organization. At request of a specialist, due to long lead time and delivery, a temporary certificate can be issued for the period until 1 month.

The EAHP coach

1. The aspirant submits an application, an autobiography, a list of conducted coach programs with a detailed description of them, samples of advertising materials used for conduct of programs to Secretary of regional office, (or in the absence of representation in the given region of the General Secretary of the EAHP). The secretary checks compliance of the activities of aspirant with current legislation.

2. The secretary submits a petition for aspirant's certification to President of the EAHP

3. Aspirant makes a fixed registration fee.

4. President appoints the Certification Commission, consisting of at least three experts, and includes an intercessor, a specialist in the field on which coach specializes, and a practicing coach.

5. At the meeting of the Certification Commission, documents submitted by aspirant are examined, intercessor’s arguments are listened to, and the interview is conducted with aspirant. The aspirant demonstrates skills of working with audience, constructing practical exercises, and the ability to answer incorrect questions. He demonstrates knowledge of the topic on which he specializes. Perhaps, to make a final decision, the presence of one expert appointed by commission, on the training of aspirant. After consideration of all materials there is made a decision on the aspirant's compliance with standards of the association and possibility of certification. Sessions of a commission can proceed through the use of modern technical means of remote communication.

6. In case of a positive determination of certification commission, there is made a certificate of established sample, it’s sent to a specialist and specialist is included in the single register of organization. At request of a specialist, due to long lead time and delivery, a temporary certificate can be issued for the period until 1 month.

The EAHP training

1. The coach of the EAHP gives application to Secretary of regional representative office (or in the absence of representation in given region of General Secretary of the EAHP), the training program with elapsed time, the description of goals and objectives of training, the size of group, group's target audience, restriction for participants, technical tools for training, cost and marketing support for training, including after-sale events, samples of handouts (where available).

2. The secretary submits a petition for aspirant's certification to President of the EAHP

3. Aspirant makes a fixed registration fee.

4. The President appoints an expert assessing the training (if possible, including personal passage of training by an expert.

5. The General Meeting considers materials provided by coach, listens to expert's report, conducts debates, and a decision is made on attestation of training by simple voting of full members of the Association.

In case of a positive determination of certification commission, there is made a certificate of established sample, it’s sent to a specialist and training of specialist is included in register of trainings of the EAHP. At request of specialist, at the beginning of training, the EAHP prints certificates for past training of standard-issue.
